Need a substitute? Good for emergencies
Just got done with a wedding yesterday. Actually, NOT the whole wedding, I got hired to accompany a vocalist in which her accompanying pianist became unavailable at the last minute. I accepted the gig Thursday, rehearsed with the singer Friday and played Saturday.
And got paid to do it...even for just one song.
Hopefully you'll never run into this, but I can be hired for a whole service or gig if your current musician suddenly disappears, gets sick, or gets hit by a Mack Truck.
I can be reasonably priced for handling even a single song, or a school play, or a even for opening/ceremonial music at an event.
A couple years ago, I subbed for the keyboard player for a great Detroit-based tribute band. I think I was notified Monday and the gig was Thursday night. Basically I was given a list of 70-plus songs and I asked, "Which ones do I have to learn?". "ALL of them....the lead singer likes to jump around..." Actually I made it all the way through with no hiccups or disasters. But the crowd was happy and that's all that matters.
So basically, if you need a keyboard player in a pinch, check with me here on my site or find me on GigMasters, GigSalad, or Thumbtack.
