Writing my own stuff

Here in the heavenly confines of Wounded Duck Studios, I've been on a writing binge, which even crept into my vacation time.

"Well, what kinds of songs do you write?" At this time, it's just about everything. Three piece jazz combo type music, grungey rock, and some synth-pop that resembles something between Devo and Kraftwerk.

I'm going to be all over the place, mostly as I have friends that are all over the place in terms of listening favorites.

For years I have mostly been an arranger, if you've seen most of my previous work here.

I still may put out more modified versions of stuff, or for that matter, completely rearrange tunes that are considered "sacred", somewhat like I did and turned a Beatles tune into a techno track.

Took a trip down to Texas with my son over New Year's, but since he wasn't feeling well, I spent many an hour sitting in the hotel room, writing up stuff with an iPad. This was one of those tunes.

At least now a few of the tunes are on Spotify and iTunes now.
